Artist Trey Jolley was born in ???, USA in 1978.
He spent his childhood surrounded by the vast, enchanting backdrop of the Rocky Mountains and at the young age of eight, he traveled to the warm shores of Southern California where he has continued to spend the next 22 formative years of his life.
Jolley began his artistic career with a series of striking, emblematic surfboard commissions, as his love of the ocean evidently became a natural creative inspiration.
His studies at the Art Institute of California, Orange County, reaffirmed his creative direction ensuing a particular interest in color theory.
He was again influenced by the awe of the natural world during a two-year period spent in the Brazilian Amazon, a trip that would impel his thirst for travel and adventure, and result in his journey through Europe.
Jolley turned his favored Japanese paint pens from the surfboard to the canvas for his Central London debut in 2007.
Graphic street art proved to become a major and lasting influence during this 18 month period in the UK, translating into the bold stencil and spray-paint technique featured in many of Jolley's more recent works.
